LOOK AFTER IT, IT'LL LAST

Hi Andre, thanks for sitting with Vik today. Here's how to look after it. Always follow anything Vik told you in person first.

Vik is strict about aftercare, because it decides how your tattoo heals. He'll tell you which of the two options you're on. Follow it exactly.

OPTION 1: SECOND SKIN
- A clear protective film. It has adhesive, so it isn't the best option for everyone.
- Leave the second skin on for 3 days.
- You can shower, and it's fine if it gets a little wet, but don't soak it.
- After 3 days, take it off and gently wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap. Let it air dry.
- From then on, wash it twice a day.
- No moisturiser for 3 more days (6 days in total from your session).
- Then start using a small amount of unscented moisturiser, and really rub it in.

OPTION 2: CLEAN WRAP
- Plastic wrap (like Saran wrap) for the first few hours.
- Leave the wrap on for 4 hours.
- Take it off and wash the tattoo with unscented soap.
- No moisturiser for 5 days.

EITHER WAY
- Don't pick, scratch or peel. Flaking and itching are normal.
- Keep it out of baths, pools, hot tubs and lakes, and out of direct sun, until it's healed.

Spreading redness or heat, swelling, pus, a fever, or pain that gets worse can be signs of infection. See a doctor or walk-in clinic, and let Vik know.

Touch-ups are free. If anything needs one once it's healed, message @cozyinkz and Vik will book you in.
